BREAKING NEWS: The Porcupine Warriors have part-ways with Maxwell Konadu after a narrow defeat against Olympics.

The Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko SC have parted ways with their head coach Maxwell Konadu after the club was stunned by Great Olympics on their match day three outstanding game in Accra on Thursday, 17th December 2020 after 12 months 9 days stint with the club. 

The Porcupine Warriors have so far played four matches in the ongoing 2020/21 Ghana Premier League having won 1, drawn 2, and lost 1. 

The club tested its first defeat against the ‘Dade’ Boys with 1-0 score at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday. 

“Management of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club wishes to inform the general public that it has decided to part ways with Coach Maxwell Konadu as its Head Coach with immediate effect. Coach Johnson Smith has been appointed to lead the team in the interim.” Asante Kotoko announced. 

Coach Maxwell Konadu signed a three-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors as head of their technical team on Monday, December 9, 2019, and have been fired on Friday, December 18, 2020. 

Assistant Johnson Smith will now lead the team for the meantime.
