Fakwa FC demolishes Ashaiman Tottenham F.C by 6:1

The clouds threw it shades over the venue and showers from the sky were inevitable.
It was an encounter between Fakwa FC and Ashaiman Tottenham FC. It was no kids play as ATFC sought to win their first match, likewise Fakwa F.C wanted to continue its winning streak. Despite the previous thrashing in a friendly game prior to the league.

The first half of the game kicked off and both teams were cautious not to commit any mistakes to be punished for. Both teams had shown readiness to win but Fakwa F.C with its possessive identity held on to the game and kept knocking the doors of the opposition. Fakwa F.C was presented with opportunities and failed to hit the back of the net during the first half. The opposition keeper and defense showed great complexity to make it difficult for the home team. At about 38min into the game the showers were let off but played continued till the final whistle at the 45 min with no added time.

Both teams were motivated to take all 3points and came into the second half very strong. The jinx was broken in the 54th min when the ball was hit from behind the left side of center half to the left wing upfront. Oswald sprinted to make a touch on the ball to the leading striker Joel in 9 shirt and he In return made another touch assisting Kofisei in 18 shirt to strike the ball to the back of the net making just only 4 touches from the center half to score.
Fakwa F.C maintained domination. ATFC lost position in the center half and Maxwells in 13shirt took possession and laid a pass to Kwesi Sconi 3shirt on the left flank and In turn laid a through pass to Alpha 14shirt he sprinted with the ball and passed to Joel who went pass two defenders and assisted Maxwell 13shirt who was running towards the 18 yard and struck the ball from about 22 yards into the net recording the second goal of the game in 57th min. In the 16th min ATFC responded with a goal from a free kick which got headed into the net.
This convinced the ATFC to come fully out at FakwaFC to equalize. But in the 68th min Oswald found the back of the net from Maxwells assist corner kick. Joel got his goal from Oswalds assist in 76th min dribbling past the goalkeeper crumbling on the ground. Oswald struck the ball which was half cleared by the goalkeeper and recovered by Kofisei to lay a shot pass through two defenders to assist Oswald to get his second goal.
Up to the 90th min a short pared on target by Kofisei was not dealt with properly by the goal keeper and was presented to Oswald who couldn’t let go an opportunity for his hattrick and got the ball to the back of the net to seal the victory in a 6:1 defeat against Ashaiman Tottenham F.C.

Fakwa F.C plays Evergreen F.C in their next league match away from home. The boys are determined to win as Oswald who won the man of the match commented.
