Legon Cities and Medeama SC clash ended with 0-0 goalless stalemate on match day three in the Ghana Premier League at Accra Sports Stadium on Friday. 

After Legon Cities part ways with Goran Barjaktarevic due to poor performance in the opening against Berekum Chelsea 1-1 draw and 3-0 lost with Great Olympics FC on match day 2. 

The Royals handed the coaching seat to Bashir Hayford ‘No nonesense’ who started his first encounter against Medeama SC on match day 3 at Accra Sports Stadium. 

Ghana’s all time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan who joined Legon Cites on the deadline day made his debut for the Royals. He climbed off from bench to replace Raphael Ocloo in the 71th minute. 

The Yellow and Mauve lads split three points to 1-1point each at Accra Sports Stadium against the Royals despite the chances they created. The opponent came with a defensive approach with Daniel Agyin, Patrick Yeboah, Ouattra Ali and were successful with a draw. 

The visited started mounting a lot of pressure on the home side. A sensational free-kick from left back Nat Akwah could have put the home team in front. 

Deep into the game, the same free-kick was given to Legon Cities at the same position but goalkeeper Ofori Antwi of Medeama denied it again. 

A powerful strike from Rashid Nortey could have changed the score line but goalkeeper Fatau Dauda palmed the ball to a different direction. 

Back from recess, the two sides came back on the pitch and continued their one-two play to maintain the score though the home side felt a little bit reluctant before the iconic forward Asamoah Gyan was introduced to the game. 

It became a difficult affair to point out who was the best on the day as every team was having a game of their lives. 

Legon Cites to take on Dreams FC whiles Medeama SC face Asante Kotoko on match day 4.
