The ‘Insha Allah’ lads made a short trip to Obuasi to lock horns with the Miners on Wednesday 16th December, 2020 at Len Clay Stadium in an outstanding fixture in the Ghana Premier League.
After two draws and a 4-2 triumph against Elmina Sharks, the Miners came hard again to thrash their regional neighbors King Faisal in a six goals thriller to clinch their well deserved victory.
It was not easy as the Miners fought hard to secure their second victory of the season against King Faisal FC with 5-1 score.
Debutant Opoku Agyemang became the sole striker with support from David Abagna Sandan.
AshGold wonder lad Isaac Opoku Agyemang notched the opener in the 16th minute to hand his side the lead but King Faisal restored parity through Kwame Peprah in the 27th minute.
David Abagna converted the score-line to 2-1 two minutes after Kwame Peprah had his equalizer for King Faisal before the end of first half.
Peprah failed to make his second goal to count after he missed a penalty which could have change the score to 2-2.
In the earliest kickoff after recess in the 48th minute, dynamic Opoku Agyemang of Ashantigold SC had his brace after a comfortable pass saw him.
Mohammed Mustapha of King Faisal FC made way for Kwame Bwoakyi as he came on to slower the pace of the game when the Miners started mounting pressure on them.
Yaw Annor produced the fourth and fifth goals of the game from the spot 83rd and 90+2 minute to hand the Miners the second win at Len Clay stadium in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
