It was an unfavorable result for Coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu’s side Techiman Eleven Wonders on Sunday night as they were held to a 2-0 defeat by the Accra based club, Hearts of Oak on their match day nine clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Coach Kosta Papic made two changes from the team that drew 1-1 with Elmina Sharks in their last match to face Eleven Wonders.
Nuru Sulley replaced Addo in central defense whilst William Dankyi came in for Dominic.
Hearts of Oak took the lead through Abdul Manaf Umar who had a brilliant cross from Fatawu Mohammed from the right front post unmarked from a close range in the 13th minute.
The Phobians came close again through Benjamin Afutu with a decent herder but went off the post.
The game quickly doubled to 2-0 just three minutes into the second half by forward Victor Aidoo, beating the goalkeeper with a sublime strike.
Daniel Afriyie quickly made way for flanks minister Patrick Razak in the 56th minute.
Experience Samuel Boakye could have dwindle the deficit to one after his superb dribbling which saw Fatawu Mohammed and Ovouka Raddy Hokemba frustrate but goalkeeper Richmond Ayi made a beautiful save by fisting the ball to a different direction.
The rainbow lads took their foot of accelerator as they went two goals up against the Sure Wonders in the second half to end the exciting game at 2-0 score.
