GPL Matchday 8 preview : Legon Cities – WAFA. Legon cities vow to end winless run against the Academy boys

Struggling Legon Cities has vowed to earn their first victory of the season with a win against Sogakope based West African Football Academy on Friday night at the Accra sports stadium.

Bashiru Hayford’s side have gone 7games without a victory and are looking forward to breaking that jinx against third placed WAFA.

The Sogakope based club have recorded 4 wins in 7 league games this season and are hopeful of defeating the royals at their own backyard.They have scored 13 goals and conceded 10 in the ongoing season having lost 2 and drawn 1 and are third (3) placed on the league log with 13 points.

Legon Cities, the only side who are yet to record a victory in this season’s campaign are placed at the bottom of the table with 3points after matchday 7.
They’ve lost 4 and drawn 3 in their last 7 outings. The billionaires are yet to score from open play having scored only two goals in the League with both goals coming from spot kicks.
