Cape coast based club Elmina Sharks exchanged pennant with Aduana Stars on match week four in the Ghana Premier League at Paa Kwesi Nduon Sports Stadium on Thursday night with 1:0 score.
After thrice draw on a row by the Fearsome sharks on their match day one, two and three encounter against Ebusua dwarfs, Liberty Professionals and WAFA, the club came back strong to grab their first home win with one nil score.
Exactly 6:00pm, the Referee set the two sides to action. It was obvious, the first fragment of the game was not easy for Aduana Stars. They strived had but their fearsome strikes did not capitalize.
Experienced midfielder Richard Mpong notched the opener with a decent strike after connecting well with his partner’s pass on the 21st minute.
The low performance from Dormaa based club in the first half of the game never stopped the lads from working harder in the second half.
Mustapha Alhaji changed the pace of the game a few minutes he was introduced into the game after player Mensah made way for him.
He played a crucial ball which could be an equalizer for his side but goalkeeper Martey grabbed the ball without any difficulties.
Aduana Stars lads put up a good fight in the second half but the victory went to Elmina Sharks after 90minutes played.
