Accra Hearts of Oak hosted Karela United in the Ghana Premier League round four at Accra Sports Stadium on Friday night 4th December, 2020. The leading club in the ongoing GPL with 8points in three games went toe to toe with the capital based club ending with 0-0 score.
Karela United showed a quality play having quickly adapted and committed to the unfamiliar ground regardless of the difficulties they encountered in the game.
It was not a game we saw knocking of the ball but experience came in handy.
Flanks minister, Patrick Razak first shot of the game was blocked by skipper Mohammed Alhassan.
Franklyn Osei received a yellow card after a reckless tackle in the 29th minute following Abdulai Nurudeen while Eshun received his in the 42nd minute.
The score remained 0-0 in the first half.
Coming onto the second half, midfielder Kojo Obeng Junior became a threat to the visitors after he was introduced onto the game but the visitors took a tangible tackles to take him off the game.
Kwame Boateng massive pass saw Diawisie Taylor but goalkeeper Attah made a reasonable clearance.
Number goal keeper Fufuro Ansah made wonderful saves before he made way for Baidoo though his side failed to clinch their well deserved points they needed.
Razak attempted to find one of his teammates with a cross from the resultant control, but he fails to hit the ball properly and sends it off the way round which curtained the game to 0-0 stalemate at full time.
Karela United FC will now welcome King Faisal ‘Insha Allah Boys’ while Hearts take on Dreams FC.
