The Porcupine Warriors took on Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League round five on Friday night at the country’s capital stadium, Accra Sports Stadium as they went hard to grab their first home win of the season after the final whistle was blown.
The Royals put up a scintillating performance and created massive chances but that was not enough as the game ended 1-0 in favour of the Kumasi based club.
The two sides went onto the pitch both in search of their first win of the season but Asante Kotoko SC took the lead with one goal as they defend and clinched the three points of the game ending on 1-0 narrow win.
The visitors midfield saw Richard Ocloo paired with experience Francis Addo.
Forward Ibrahim Osman opened the scoring in the 10th minute for the Porcupine Warriors which was the only goal of the game.
Asante Kotoko new baby Sulley Muniru made his debut for the Kumasi based club as he climbed off the bench to replace Kwame Adam Frimpong.
Emmanuel Gyamfi one-on-one chance could have doubled the score for his side but experience Fatau Dauda came close to deny the chance from threatening him which failed to count on their score sheet.
The composed forward, Emmanuel Gyamfi displayed brilliantly despite most of his chances on target were denied by Fatau Dauda.
Legon Cities still maintains their three points in five matches played.
