LadyStrikers continues their smooth run in this season’s Ghana Women Premier league season with another victory as they came back from two goals down to win 5:4 at the Tema community 8 school Park on Saturday afternoon.
The homeside took an early lead in the 13th minute through Elizabeth Oppong.
Coach Quagraine’s side doubled the lead in the 24th minute through Gifty Dwamena’s spotkick.
The visitors quickly responded through Catherine Arthur’s penalty in the 36th minute.
Experienced Suzzy Dede Teye quickly levelled things at the Tema community 8 school Park with a beautiful finish in the 39th minute.
Sarah Inkoom made sure the visitors end the first half in grandstyle as she added her team’s 3rd goal of the afternoon with just 3minutes to end the first half.
Back from the half-time, midfielder Gifty Addai extended the lead for the visitors with a fine strike in the 49th minute to put LadyStrikers in a comfortable lead.
Vivian Konadu’s effort in the 56th minute reduced the deficit to 1 as the search for equalizer continued.
Catherine Arthur sealed her brace for the day with a beautiful solo in the 59th minute to extend the lead again for the visitors.
Esther Moffat’s 69th strike wasn’t enough as LadyStrikers travel back with the maximum three points. The victory keeps LadyStrikers at the top of the table with 6points in two games.
Elizabeth Oppong was named the NASCO MoTM for the second consecutive time of the season having won it in their game against Police ladies on matchday 1.
Thunder Queens will travel to Sekondi to face Hasaacas Ladies on matchday 3 as LadyStrikers welcomes Immigration Ladies at home.
