GWPL Match Report: Felicity Asante’s magical hattrick shoots Berry Ladies FC to the top of the Southern Ghana Women Premier League table

Felicity Asante’s hattrick has seen Berry Ladies FC move to the top of the league table with a 3-1 victory over Soccer Intellectuals at the Asassan Park in Ajumako on Sunday afternoon.

The host opened the scoring just 18minutes into the game from a spotkick through Adina Akpo.

The visitors equalized in the 27th minute when Felicity went past her marker, beating goalkeeper Amudiatu Alhassan to slot home her first of the afternoon.

Coach Mercy Tagoe’s side were dominant for the remainder of the first half with Felicity Asante getting her double in the 37th minute, sending the visitors into the end of the half with a 2-1 lead.

Monica Addai of Berry Ladies was shown the marching orders after receiving her second yellow card of the afternoon.

Goalkeeper Abigail Tawiah of Berry Ladies was named MoTM at the Asassan Park at the end of durations.

Soccer Intellectuals will visit Police Ladies in Accra on matchday 3 as Berry Ladies hosts Sea Lions at the Madina Astro turf.
