The ‘Ogya boys’ whitewashed and picked up a comfortable 2-0 win over the Phobian lads at their home ground.
After an elongated hiatus due to Covid 19 outbreak which affected most players of Accra Hearts of Oak and the management which led to the postponement of their match day one fixture in the Ghana Premier League against the Dormaa based club Aduana Stars.
The match which was originally scheduled on Saturday, 14th November, 2020 was battled out on Wednesday 16th December, 2020 at Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Ahenkro Dormaa in the ongoing campaign as Aduana Stars picked up their three points after ninety minutes.
Aduana’s lost against Elmina Sharks never ruin their morale as they had their sexiest encounter against the Phobians.
The two former League Champions, broke the dreadlock of the game in the 43rd minute through proficient forward Yahaya Mohammed.
Marvelous display from the ‘Ogya boys’ as they went onto the game after recess creating a lot of opportunities with sensational strikers and defenders doing tremendous works for their side.
Aduana Stars had themselves into the game brimming with confidence knowing that they were on the perfect track of winning the game.
Just three minutes passed the second half, Prince Acquah nets the second goal with a sumptuous long range strike that any goalkeeper could find it difficult to save, which handed the home side their first win after connecting well with a decent header out from a free-kick spot.
The Phobians missed a great opportunity after they floated their last dangerous free-kick of the game into the penalty box of Aduana Stars but, it was easily fisted to a different direction by skipper goalkeeper Joseph Addo.
The game at the end of second half ended 2-0 despite the fearsome strikes from the visitors just ten minutes to the end of the game.
Prince Acquah was named NASCO man of the match.
