MATCH REPORT: Legon Cities wallop AshantiGold to escape relegation zone.

Obuasi based club AshantiGold SC face second defeat as Legon Cites record their second victory in the ongoing Ghana Premier League at Accra Sports Stadium on their match day 10 fixture.

The Royals were down by two goals to one later in the first half but Jonah Attuquaye quickly restored parity when the game seems to end 1-2 with an awesome one touch strike to make the score 2-2 in the 45+1 minute before recess after Yaw Annor had given the visitors two goals.

Michael Ampadu nearly gives the Cites the lead in the earliest start in the second half but his effort went off target for a goal kick.

Yaw Annor’s brilliant output in the second half could not fetch the Gold and Black lads a goal.

Milovan Cirkovic made three changes as Walid Fuseini came in for Appiah McCarthy, Opoku Agyemang for Hans Kwofie while Jacob Apau Aseidu also replaced midfielder Amos Addai.

Legon Cities found the net thrice in the second half through Baba Mahama and two goals from David Cudjoe in the 55th and 65th minute to seal their victory.

AsanteGold SC now sitting at the third position with 16points while Legon Cities at the fifteenth place with 9points on the premiership standings.

Skipper Baba Mahama named NASCO Man of The Match.
