Accra Hearts of Oak have failed to pick up a win in their last three games played in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign after their clash with Medeama SC at Akoon Park in Tarkwa on Thursday.
It was a tough encounter for the Tarkwa lads but the lone goal from experience midfielder Justice Blay silence the Phobians to secure them their crucial three points after the last whistle was blown.
Despite the fearsome strikes from both sides, the heated first half ended goalless.
Coming onto the second half, a pressure mounted on the home side from the spectators triggered Justice Blay to net a stunning goal from a short range in the 50th minute.
Patrick Razak was brought onto the game to replace Nurudeen in order to slower the pace of the game.
The rainbow lads could have gotten their equalizer in the second fragment through star man Manaf Umar but a good reaction was done by goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi to deny them from equalizing.
Hearts’ defeat against Medeama SC sees the rainbow lads played 3 consecutive games without a win while Medeama SC have won 2 games and lost 1 in their last 3 matches.
Medeama SC will now travel to face King Faisal FC while Accra Hearts of Oak SC will exchange pennant with their city rivals Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium.
