Osman Ibrahim’s solo, powers Kotoko to victory over Legon Cities

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have registered their first victory of the season following their slim 1:0 victory over billionaires, Legon Cities.

The porcupine warriors led by Maxwell Konadu fielded sharp attacking duo(Osman Ibrahim and Kwame Opoku) who terrorised the defense of the royals in the first 45minutes.

Former Asokwa Deportivo attacker, Osman Ibrahim broke the deadlock of the game in the 10th minute when Emmanuel Gyamfi’s corner fell on Godfred Asiamah who then found Osman Ibrahim inside the penalty box to slot home the only goal of the game.

Legon cities attacker, Raphael Ocloo missed countless opportunities to restore parity in the early minutes of the second half.
Injury forced Maxwell Konadu to introduce Evans Adomaku for Osman Ibrahim who picked up a knock in the early minutes of the second half.

Ghana’s all time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan was introduced in the 60th minute as he came on for Raphael Ocloo who was shambolic on the night.

Emmanuel Gyamfi had the opportunity to make the victory more emphatic for the home side but saw his effort beautifully saved by experienced Fatau Dauda.

Kumasi Asante are still unbeaten at the Accra sports stadium in their last 5games as they secured thier first win of the season with Legon cities still chasing their first victory of the season.
