Ghana’s Solomon Asante and Phoenix Risings’ skipper scores penalty as home club deepen the woes of Las Vegas to return to winning ways with an impressive win.
The game which saw both Phoenix Rising and Las Vegas to lock horns at Wild Horse Pass on Sunday in the USL Championship ended 5-1 in favor of the hosts.
Las Vegas lights were made to sweat haphazardly as the home team taking the game to half time at 2-1 where Rufat Dadashov and Joseph Farrell scoring for the home side while forward Cal Jennings for the visitors before the end of first proceedings.
Just after recess, two goals from Spaniard forward Santiago Moar and Rufat Dadashov in the 51st and 55th minutes respectively deep the suffering of Vegas.
Phoenix Rising came close with a direct spot kick inside 63rd minute via Ghanan nimble winger Solomon Asante as the home side quickly return to winning ways after last week’s 2-1 lose to Tampa Bay Rowdies.
Solomon’s penalty kick sum his goals to three in 4games as his side occupies the top spot with 9points in four games.
