Two Ghanaian forwards Dennis Agyare Antwi and Philip Adjah nets brace each in Gokulam’s victory over Punjab FC.

Ex- Trelleborgs Fotbollsförening and International Allies FC forward, Dennis Agyare Antwi and former Neroca FC striker Philip Adjah Tetteh fired brace each for Gokulam Karela FC in their 4-3 home triumph over RoundGlass Punjab FC in the Indian I-League in Kolkata at the Salt Lake Stadium on Thursday. 

The two Ghanaian players were on the scoresheets for Gokulam Karela FC following an enormous and brilliant turnout as both nets brace to record their club the first win of the season. 

The home side, Gokulam Karela FC were down by two goals to a duck before Philip Adjah notched his first goal in the 27th minute to make the score line 1-2 after Bhutanese all-time goal scorer Chencho Gyeltshen had given the visitors the lead with brace in the 25th minute. 

Gokulam were awarded a penalty just eight minutes into the second half but Dennis Antwi failed to make it count. 

The 28-year old Antwi grabbed his brace 70 minutes and in the 72nd minute to covert the score to 3:3. 

Experience Philip Adjah scored the last goal in the 75th minutes to make it 4:3 which registered the club’s first home victory against RoundGlass Punjab FC. 

Adjah 22, with 2goals in 2appearances in the Indian I-League campaign while Dennis Agyare with 3goals in 2games for Gokulam FC. 

Gokulam FC now lying 5th after 2matches on the table log with 3points.
